Pulling the trigger on a PAM 111

Hi guys,


I know this rep is out there for 3-4 years and it's still considered as the best PAM rep. But is it just me or does a genuine PAM 111 just look much clearer than the replica? It does look great but to me the replica always seem to have this greenish hands and numbers? Also the crystal looks kinda cloudy.


I have had a Noob V3 in my hands once but it's been 2 years ago and I cannot really remember.


Is it just me or does the gen have much better AR? Anything to do about that? What franken options do we have? (I do not care for an Y-incabloc, rather have genuine dial/hands/crystal)




Maybe it's just me or specific lightning? Reference of the genuine. That clearness and sharpness:hypnotized:

i'd love to hear thoughts about that V4 too

Btw I just received my 111 n v3 today (it's on sale at TS for $200). Couldn't be happier! It really is a stunning watch

but what's up with only 3 stars on the V4? It looks really good to me and as far as I know the only thing they've changed is the Y-bloc

Though the movement engraving is little sloppy on this one.

Did they update the AR as well? looks pretty clear here

IMO this is a comercial trick to finísh stocks of V3 parts, the crown is “fat” V3, the CG lever is of course the inaccurate noob lever as usually, and the caseset don’t seem a V4 with nice lug contours and detached from the cushion shape as real V4 has.

Regarding the Y-incabloc it is not GEN Incablock, is a nicely modded rep Incablock, the same as currently used in new rep PAM 127 movemnts. Of course lyre spring is also rep. Swan neck spring is the same inaccurate Noob as always. Micrometric screw seems a bit improved with longer head and longer thread (but not enough) and the tip is wrongly pointed (maybe the same screw used in new 2015 reps of PAM 127).
The OFFICINE PANERAI engraving on bridges is like a joke. Reason enough to reject this watch

I think is not correct to call it PAM 111 V4, becuase the caseset is not (or at least no completely) a V4.
For me this rep is just a Pam 111 V3 with a nicely modded Y-incablock and horrible OFFICINE PANERAI engraving on bridges.
Calling this version PAM 111 V4 is MISLEADING and for me a commercial trick as above commented

Exactly my thoughts

That is permissble, but it is not acceptable to sell it with a misleading name of V4 version and with no bargain price

IMO, no honest commercial behaviour, and bad move from Noob or Puretime (or both)

Question, so is there really a V4 coming up? Otherwise this should be like a V3.1 imo

Lastly is always the same
Noob is changing to V4 from about the end of 2014, they have improved little by little the case (we have seen many transition units, even currently), have introduced some new slim crowns (but not always), have improved the bevelled of the crystal (but not always), etc....

Therefore: Is there really a V4 coming up? Of course, but we cannot know when it will be completely available .... LOL

It was the same with the transition from V1 to V3 there was several transition versions, just to finish the stocks of old parts.

Thanks mate! But where to go to if we just want the V4 case shape (I do not care about Ynca blocs etc as you cannot see that anyway when wearing your PAM).

It is a matter of luck and it doesn't depend on the dealer or version
Nowadays if you ask for PAM 111 V3 (there are no real V4s on catalogues. Puretime's V4 is a commercial trick. OMG!) you will receive a mix V3-V4 with some improvements included. The matter is to get as much improvements V4 as possible checking the QC pics
