Hi there,
I'm a new to reps and only started this hobby for a few months. I just purchased a Radiomir 288K (my first A7750) from a trusted dealer but it arrived with problem. What happens is that on the 30-minute chrono counter the hand is getting stuck and most of the time it does not move when I use the chrono (I can see the hand trying its best to "jump" to the next minute but it gets some friction - perhaps something's wrong with the gears?). If it's in a good mood it runs for 10 minutes then it gets stuck at the 10-minute mark. And it the past 2 days it just simply stops at the 0-minute mark when I use the chrono.
I contacted the seller and he told me I can send back for repair, but then I have to pay shipping for both journeys since they watch is bought at a discount price (well, that's another story).
What would you do if you are on the same boat as me?
1. Send it back to the dealer and get it repaired. But then you take the chance of losing the watch completely, not to mention needing to pay for shipping both ways.
2. I spoke with a local watchsmith (I'm in Vancouver, BC) but once he learned that it's a rep he just told he's not servicing it. I can't seem to find another one here who I think may be servicing reps.
3. Send it to someone on the forum who can help? I learned about Ziggy and he's in Canada but I saw people saying he doesn't reply to email if he does not know who you are. Perhaps I can try G but he's not accepting new job until after March. I guess I may do full service if I choose this option.
Can anyone tell me what the best option is? Also is this a simple fix?
Thanks in advance!
