Problem with dial fonts

I keep reading and reading about this and, I can't quite find what the problem is with all the dial fonts. Too small? Different font? I'm a newbie, and I've tried searching and I see TONS of references to this but can't quite figure out what the problem is with most reps?

The movement looks like a rep movement... (I'm squinting at the ultra-small pics) it does not seem to have the usual Dagger shaped regulator thingamajig

I'm no expert, and I can't zoom in to a small picture that well..

I am no expert, but I am going to say that this is a replica because the '6' sits a little too close to the 'swiss made' font. Also, the watch in picture #7 is not the same watch as the other pics, and the cannon pin is different on that pic of a genuine 111h as it is in the others. Although the pin seesm to have been done, it is not as good as it could be.

There are probably other signs that some of the experts here such as Enzo, Repmaniac and Higgy will tell you about.

Also, it is just unbelievable that they would replace the Panerai mechanism with a 'modified swiss' movement.

Don't be fooled by the box set and accessories. These can be brought from dealers for less than $100.

Here's a hint: Look at the L SWISS MADE L under the 6. See how it's different on some pictures? It's not all the same watch.

That is interesting. So on a watch with recessed cannon pinion the hour and minute hands look like they are about to fall off...it seems like in time the hands would just come off. I find it amazing someone just takes it for granted a watch in gen and willing to pay $3,000. Thanks for that great info...

There are 2 111h in that ebay link, and both are good reps IMHO. The 111h I posted is a genuine.

It's a rep, and 100% one as well.

- Lume has been fixed, not a bad job
- recessed cannon pin
- white dial text as oppose to cream on the gen
- L Swiss L text too wide, and too close to number 6, just like any other 44mm H-series Marina or Base rep.
- CG like rep's
- crown still not as thick as on the gen
....
Someone is in for a nasty surprise :-(

gen pams have c3 lume on them the same as davidsen is useing now. it looks white until it starts charging with light then it starts looking green.

my favorite part is this:

HA HA HA HA! Why would anyone use a "local" watchmaker replace the mvt when OP would do it for you. What a scammer. someone should report it to ebay. fucker's getting over 2k for this.
