Hey guys!

Need your expert opinion here. I wore my noob 243M to the beach about 2 weeks ago. I didn't wear it into the water and it didn't touch the sand.

However, now I'm finding that when I wind the watch up using the crown, it is very rough and at times, there is so much resistance that I cannot turn it at all. It used to be smooth like butter when I wind it up using the crown.

Do you think bringing the watch to the beach caused this? Or does it simply need a service?

Not answering your question directly but you probably don't need to be winding an automatic watch too much. ;)

+1
Especially on the 7750

Quote from Trailboss's 7750 guide:
"1. If you have to hand-wind the movement, do so gently and try not to do it too often. The hand wind mechanism is quite high-geared and there is a danger that you can strip the gears if you're too rough with it. Best advice is to start the watch with a quick 'swirl' then just strap it on and wear it. Normal use should keep it wound (I can vouch for this as it's what I do.)."

I doubt if the beach had anything to do with it.
