Hi All!
I've just received my new Montblanc Timewalker Chrono - Watch looks... gorgeous!
but I don't know if there is some issue with rotor... I've got couple watches with rotor, but they are simple non-chrono, just hour, minut, second hands. And in these watches rotors spin rather freely.
In this new MB rotor moves i.e. 1 turn, then stucks. I can't move it by simple swirl of watch (no matter which side). I must strongly shake the watch to move rotor a little bit... after that some times it stucks again, sometimes rotor can move in some range (not whole turn)...
can anybody help with this matter?

Maybe its screwed too tightly in (so loosen it a tintsy bit), or you might need to lubricate the rotor. Sounds like a simply fix though.

Hope so, in that case... I'll try to loosen it first, and if it's no working, I'll take the watch to my amicable watchsmith...
thanks for advice!

i doubt it's screwed too tight. the rotor screw actually has very little turns to secure it. if you loosen it off it'll probably fall off. either the bearing is bad or the rotor is catching on the caseback or there are issues with the gears in the auto winding bridge.

Unless the auto bridge is damaged, it's not possible to screw a rotor too tight so it wouldn't move.

If I had to bet I'd say it's stucked by the caseback. Try loosening the caseback to confirm, and if that's the case, replace the gasket with a thicker one.

You're the MAN, Etienne!!!
bull's eye! loosening the casback solved the problem...
just must get thicker gasket, and maybe longer screws, but not untill on Monday, bcause in Poland we have a long holiday weekend :)

BTW - I'm going to use rotomat (watchwinder) for this watch - should I set clockwise or counterclockwise turns? (watching in front of watch)
