Problem with 1950 pam 127 ???

I am looking to buy 1950 127 and I was told my someone that I should note, that recently have had problems with the 1950 case. The best case set with sapphire crystal is also very rarely in stock, and often times the wait for it is very long. In the past it was always in stock. Lesser quality cases are in stock, but for many customers, the crystals on the 1950 cases are cracking very easily, and sometimes even exploding while the customer is not wearing the watch. Is this true? Anyone heard about this?
