Hey guys,

now I've been told been warned before that there really isn't a good pre V right out of the box and often to get it right, it would cost a great deal of money.

I just wanted to find out if this by DSN, is considered a pre V or not, and is it good out of the box or is there anything wromg from the pictures?

The 360 you linked is NOT a PreV by a long shot. The Gen is only a couple of years old.

DSNs new PreVs are very good but not perfect. Perfection is expensive and involves alot of work and parts.

(i think this is pre vendome)

is it any good? i don't know enough about pams to say. i love the way it looks. i will go for something like it in time i'm sure. there is a sticky in the pam section that details the history of panerai. it's a good read and will give you some more insight into the brand. good luck ;)

If you want to keep the cost down... Just buy one of the new breed of DSN pre-v's and drop a FGD dial in there.

Best bang for your buck without breakin the bank.

Also.... To be honest.. the cost of very expensive pre-v builds are being hit hard on the market. I also recommend waiting and finding a damn good build for less than $600 that cost $850+ to make. They are out there....

Thanks for your input, but well I'm still fresh here and I've always been confused with the terms, like when I saw Coldi's thread on his new Pre V.

Terms such as FDG dial, something something caseback, T48 crown etc etc, what do they all mean? Forgive my ignorance, I was thinking to just buy one and use it right out of the box :biglaugh:

I'm pretty keen on a DLC/PVD pam and the 360 looks to be one that isn't Pre V.

Guys any thoughts on DSN's 360? He's got one that'sin PVD lead colour and one that's PVD black colour, which is more accurate?

Thanks again!

That's a great looking piece! And thanks for the input!

You'll be very happy with DSNs pencil case 360.

FDG dials are good aftermarket dials.

T48 is a good aftermarket crown that has the correct shape and "48" teeth.

You can literally upgrade every part on a Pam, so the sky really is the limit. Stick with a DSN and like I said before, you'll be more than happy.

There are plenty of PVD PreV watches in DSNs section aswell.

I just noticed your in Singapore. You live very close to one of the best Pam modders around IMO. Give Goin a PM if you need something done. You'll fine his info in the trusted modders section.

Thanks on the enlightenment! But where can I purchase such dials and crowns? Is there a dealer for them? I've emailed Goin and Taka actually, Taka says he can do some AR and movements swap for me, given he lives not far off from me, I'll just drop it by him for mods. If not Goin :)

I notice the pencial 360 does not come with AR, is that normal? Or do I have to mod it by myself?

Thanks!
