I found a Steinhart watch by accident looking for something else using Google Image search and decided to look at this brand a little more closely. Gotta tell ya, I'm liking it more and more- regardless of the "knock-off" designs, some of their pieces really are nice...

Marine Chronograph- might be able to find it for just under $1000- whew! That's an expensive knock-off!

Steinhart makes a wonderful watch....I have one of the "Ocean Black" models and it's one of the best watches I own.

Recently I've been saving up for one of these....it's a Stowa Marine Automatic....I love the "clean" look. 40mm across, movement is an ETA 2824-2, sapphire crystal on the front and back, and it sells for about $650.00.

Just picked this one up today...

Steinhart Marine Chronometer II

The photos don't do this watch justice... this must be a very hard watch to photograph showing the beautiful blue hands AND the swirls on the seconds dial. There are a lot of bad ones out there, these are the best of borrowed pics. Will attempt to shoot my own tomorrow... with no light box!

The watch itself is absolutely stunning!!:wub::wub:

I love the circular engravings on the movement bridges.

Steinhart and Stowa are two damn fine German boutique watchmakers. I own several pieces from Steinhart's ocean line as well as a Stowa Antea. Both companies have exceptional quality control and warranties. Thinking about picking up a Christopher Ward C60 diver as well.
