Recently I bought a gen IWC Caliber 79350 movement for my 3714.

I received it without any hands so I don't know on which position the movement is. I need to know this because of the well known issue with resetting the Chronometer between 10 and 2.

Anybody a suggestion how I can find out at with position the movement is?

Hopefully it is clear what I mean.

I've searched for an answer, but could find anything about this. Hopefully someone can help.

answering to track this question 'cause I want to know the answer... sorry I can't be more help - would expect anyone worth their salt to remove hands at 12:00 though - so would start there...

The issue with resetting the chronograph outside of 10-2 is because of the snap back will shift the hands out of position from the gear/shaft. Since you don't have any hands on it, just reset it, and now the movement is at 12, so you can attach the hands on it at 12. Let me know if you have any more questions.
