Portuguese Chrono 3714 (A7750) - can't remove movement from case

Hey guys, I want to remove the A7750 movement from my IWC Portuguese Chrono rep. I have removed the crown as well as both case tabs/screws. I expected the movement to 'fall out' once I turned over the watch, however it won't budge. The fit of the movement within the case doesn't look to be overly tight. I've measured the size of the movement from the back, as well as the size of the dial face, and it appears the dial may be too big to fit through the back of the case!?

Does anyone have experience with this particular rep? Do you have to remove the front glass to remove the movement? Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks guys.

You need to take off the bezel and take out the movement and dial from the front

Thanks for the reply fixen. Is the bezel pried or screwed off? What tool would I need to do this?

On your watch the bezel is pressed on, the best thing is to use a bezelremover to take it off, but there is other ways to but it is very easy to scratch the watch :(

You could use a butter knife or some other strong flat tool. Be sure to cover it with a cloth since it's easy to scratch the case as fixen mentioned.

Also be very careful and pry slowly. There's also a good chance the knife could slip and scratch the dial.

Thanks for the advice. I'm a little reluctant to use something like a knife but those bezel removers are expensive! Even the Chinese ones. :ambivalence:
