After I receive my next watch I am planning on buying a different style.

I was thinking the Portofino Rose Gold (IW356504) from AF

The runner up the Calatrava 5296 in Rose Gold from ZF

The AF Portofino is not NWBIG but a step below. The Calatrava two steps below.

Other that these parameters, what do you guys think? I tend to lean IWC,more modern a tad ...

All the TDs that I asked indicate they cannot deliver a 5296 as it is no longer made. They refer to the 5277 as the alternative option that is currently available. Consider the JLC ultra thin. It's similar in style. I myself am also looking for an actual NWBIG Calatrava style dress watch.

I'd say it partly depends on your 'means'. If you're loaded and could pull-off wearing a Patek then go for it, it's a nice looking watch but you could well be called out. But the Portofino is also clean looking and more believable for many of us. Plus you could add a genuine movement if you really like the watch (swap in an ETA 2892 or Sellita sw300) and you'd have near enough the same reliability and performance of the real thing.

Or you could do as Altero suggests and get a JLC ultra thin. It's a nicer looking watch than either the Patek or IWC. I have a ZF Ultra Thin (it's about 1mm thicker than the original, but still a lovely watch.
