I am looking at a new 111G from one of our dealers with all the features I want but it has a brushed crown guard.

Would it be feasible to have the brushed one polished and have it look like it came with the watch?

Or is there a current source where I could buy a polished crown guard that would fit correctly?

My understanding is that you can polish this yourself with a dremel and polishing cloth bit. Then finish using the cape cod cloth or brasso.

If the brushed finish is not responding to that--you might want to check into some rougher grit sandpaper (800- or finer, krokus cloth?) first. Then work your way finer (cape cod etc etc)

I havent used jeweler's rouge but some people use that too

Do a seacrh under "polishing" too--might turn up some other ideas
