Pocket watch conversion suggestions/thoughts

Have recently inherited this beautiful gold (presumably solid but not sure?) pocket watch. Haven't heard of the brand - but it's very beautiful. Almost a shame to just keep it in a cupboard at home so am thinking of getting it converted to a wristwatch. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Or any suggestions of watchmakers/modders who can do this in the UK?

Strangely I'm not too fussed about keeping the movement as presumably this will open up more options wristwatch case wise and let me make it thinner?

Perhaps could turn the excess gold in to a bracelet or chain?

Anyone had similar experiences at all or know anything about this watch brand?

Bonhams : Phillips & Phillips. An 18ct gold half hunter pocket watch London hallmark for 1870

London hallmark for 1870 3/4 plate frosted gilt movement, enamel dial with black Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds, blued steel hands, polished case with blue enamel Roman chapter ring, hinged front and back, dial and movement signed 50mm.

That sold in 2007, so I would assume the price would be higher now along with gold

Do you wear suits?
If yes, buy an inside jacket with a pocket.

I bought an Omega pocket watch just because I bought a suit that came with the inside jacket.

In autumn and winter with a long coat, it gives an unmatched vintage class of a look
