I have a Planet Ocean with the rubber strap. It picks up dust and lint like a magnet. Anyone have any ideas on how to prevent this, or something to use on it ?

If it's the 42mm version then you have no other choice of either buying the gen rubber strap or use an aftermarket rubber strap that has been vulcanized, or perhaps silicone (no idea how it is).
If it's the 45mm version there's a new strap available being sold by Josh and Andrew that goes for $68 that's just like the gen and repels dust [according to them]:
