Besides adjusting the date wheel, you'll want to remove the bezel insert and lume the underside of the insert. On this version, they lume the bottom inside of the bezel, which is wrong. Not difficult to fix though. I suggest removing the insert and sending it to Goin, who will make sure that the right color lume is applied.

I challenge anyone to find a better Ploprof lumer! :p

Hell, might as well send the whole watch. Just a note though, I have started removing the straps/bracelets from any watch I send out for repair- just in case. :)

BTW, as long as he has it, he can probably fix the alignment issue for you- just ask.

Thinkbacks, that looks amazing. I am not comfortable messing with the bezel ect (strap adjustment and removal is the most I'll do), so sending the whole watch is what I plan on doing. I would also like to know how much the cost was.

Good to know we can fix this to a true super rep.

I went ahed and ask lay to adjust the the date wheel he did agree with me that at 10 and 11 its obliviously not centered at all. He just said its going to be about a 24-48 hour delay now which is really not that big of a deal. Thanks guys for catching that one for me I would have never noticed from the pics!

I did a write up on how to do it, just takes a little patience and good thumbs. :) I think now that Goin has worked on mine, he might be comfortable doing it. He asked me to do it before I sent it to him- which I had no problem doing.

As far as the cost, you'd have to check with Goin, but it's fair to say that the current rate among lumers for something like that is on the low end of over $100. The great thing about Goin is he looked at my movement after he took it out and made me aware of some issues it had. Thanks to SMIDSY, I replaced it with a super nice gen ETA movement.

The watch should be going out in the mail today or tomorrow. Hopefully next week I'll be able to share some wrist shots.

Do you have time for another pieces?"

Honesty I don't think it looks that bad should I really be that concerned? I was thinking about maybe accepting it and asking him if he can maybe throw in a black band with it..would that be worth asking him that? I am pretty new to this stuff so some help would be appreciated. I really don't want to be a pain in the butt to lay I know how busy he has been and stuff and I really wanna do business with him again in the future.

I'd have it fixed before shipping- now that you have the opportunity.

^^^ That is why Lay is so awesome. He tells you outright.

That being said. I would ask Lay what he recommends. If he doesn't think getting another one will fix the datewheel alignment (a fairly easy thing to fix if you are comfortable taking apart your watch and taking off the hands and dial), maybe go with a different watch or something.

It seems that all of them are like this. The new one in the pic is a replacement.
