Hello,
Maybe somebody can help me to undersand this. I got bitten by Panerai bug and really like the style of PAM 1950. But with my skinny arms I can wear 47mm, the highest I can go is 44mm. While browsing Silix website I foung a PAM 1950 with the russian movement and the size is 44mm?? Could it be right or it's a mispealing error. Would preciate for any knowledge you guys can give me.
Al.

type error

hello shura,
i think the size by panerai on the silix page is not right.they offer the marinas with 42mm and the fiddy (1950) with 44mm,it must be a type error.it can`t be that one factory for rep`s make the pam`s 2mm smaller than other factorys.it is very easy, write a mail to silix and ask for the rigth size!
best regards
kai :D

The Fiddy should be 47 mm. I don't know about the watch that Silix has listed, but it might be possible to find some PAM replicas that are smaller than they're supposed to be.

If I'm not mistaken, TTK offered a Black Seal a while ago that was a few mm smaller than the correct 45 mm. It looked like a very nice watch and would have been perfect for someone who couldn't wear the larger size. I could see some people wanting a slightly smaller Fiddy so perhaps some day we'll see one.

If you see one advertised as something other than 47 mm, ask the seller to verify the size...

Take a look at the PAM212, 1950 Flyback Chrono. It has the 44mm case similar to the larger 1950 case.

If you like it THAT much, just buy it...

I have skinny hands too, but I wear it anyway, coz I REALLY like it. It may look a little big, but who cares? It's too beautiful a watch to not have just coz of the size

IMAGINE

Imagine a pancake sitting on your wrist. That is the size of the 1950. I went into a watch seller and they had a 1950 on display. I tried it on my wrist. I have the wimpy 6.5 inch wrist. The watch looked great. Unfortunately, the combination of that watch with my wrist reminded me of being a small child clomping around the house wearing my father's shoes.

why not cut a piece of paper in a circular shape with the diameter being 47 mm and put it on your hand and see, it is a stupid method but at least u can visualise approximately (because there is a watch guard so it might a bit bigger)

I have a wrist a bit larger than 8" and it's a big watch. It's not too big for me, but it IS big. People notice it more than any other watch I have. Figures. They notice the replica.

I also have a 47mm "Marina Militare" on the way.

I should sell my genuine Breitling, Doxa, etc and bank the money.....

Believe me I tried. It's just not for me. 44mm is the highest I could go.
