Hey all,

I am looking at getting my first Omega rep and I am bouncing back between the SMP Chrono, the 42 PO, or the 45.5 PO Chrono. I have just under a 7" wrist and am wondering if anyone around my wrist size wears a 45.5. I would prefer a chrono, but I also may pick up the 45.5 off another member here if you guys think it would be an alright fit for my size. Any help is appreciated!

Good luck finding an SMP chrono no factories have. There is one for sale on M2M. I have owned both. I prefer the Bond SMP 300 for a daily beater.

I just bought my first Omega last week. Do some research. I found that the UPO 45 is the most accurate in that size. My wrist is around 8" . This is how it looks on me

You should be able to get away with a 45. But I think you should stay away from the chrono sice this one is more accurate. But there are may members that know alot more that I do about these watches.

I got a 6.5 inch wrist I had the 42 rep. I own the 45 gen chrono. The 45.5 wears bigger but looks much more substantial. I no longer have a 42 rep to do a side by side.

Nice pictures and what not guys :) Looking at the pictures the 45 looks a little to big for my liking. I think I might browse around for some 42s. I contacted some TD about the SMP so we will wait and see what the supply chain looks like.

You need to show me a pic of your 45 on the wrist ! :hehehe:

Otherwise I'm having those parts sent back to me

IMO the 42PO bracelet engraving is better than the 45 and the 42 looks more legit overall. If you're not concerned with accuracy, Price Angels has a nice SMP chrono with a Miyota quartz movement. While not accurate it looks pretty good w/o the 7750 repair bill. It's a cheap way to try it out and it will sell easily when (if) you move to something better.

Is the quartz an alright movement? I've always went with automatics and tried staying away from quartz. How much do those run for?

Less than 100. The movement is a Miyota OS10 I believe. Good stuff.

..oh and Price Angels is now WatchIV for some models
