I was at the AD yesterday and decided to try on the 45mm black PO. I have to say that aside from the date window and Omega logo, I would have a hard time telling the difference between my rep and the gen. One thing I did notice was that the gen had a lazer etched globe logo on the caseback that isn't on the rep. Is this new or has it always been on the 45mm? I had seen some discussion at RWG about the globe on the Bond PO caseback, but I didn't think it was on the regular version.

the globe is on some watches, but not on others, according to Omega it is for internal purposes only and has no bearing on the watch.

I think the first gen PO's to come out two years ago did not have the globe and now i think all Omegas will bear it??

Hey Andreww, not only that but the bezel "pearl" is higher on the gen AND isn't greenish, it's white...

I don't know about the standard 45mm PO but on the Casino Royale version there is an orange lasered dot on the caseback as well. Have you seen it?

Oh, and if you notice the hour markers they are smaller on the rep.

(not to spoil it or anything!)

Yeah, I'm aware of those things, but you really need to have them face to face to notice them. Position of the pearl and shape of the triangle are the biggest tells IMO.
