Planet Ocean 42mm V5 on leather

Has anyone got that one? If you have a look at replicamake you'll see you can choose between an ss bracelet or a leather strap.

I would love to see some pics of the leather. I'm not sure about the quality, how's rep leather?:thinking:

Honestly you are much better off getting it on steel and then go and buy a decent aftermarket strap. The rep leather is always absolutely 'crap' and not worth getting.
Buy it on steel and then get a decent di-model or hirsch strap...will look much better.

The PO 42mm is extremely versatile and will go well on almost 'any' decent thickish strap(as its a thickish watch don't get a thin strap!).
So anything like a hirsch heavy calf, di-modell jumbo, maratac etc will go really well with it.

Edit: BTW you don't have to necessarily see the 5th gen on an aftermarket to know what will go well with it ....pics of the gen on aftermarket will give you an idea just fine:

Wow real helpful post! Thanks. The only thing that bothers me is that the leather rep comes with the nice clasp. Or is that clasp also crap?

So my thought was to get the rep leather. Ditch the crappy leather en get some decent leather online en still use the clasp...

yeah the clasp is nice alright....if you are sure you won't ever need the steel bracelet then you could go with the leather for the clasp, also note these clasps and in fact 'better quality' are available on ebay with better quality leather straps. Up to yourself really but generally the golden rule with reps is buy on bracelet, buy straps later or as an additional extra.

Does excellent aftermarket clasps and straps for omega and others, the clasps maybe non branded but they are good quality....

....and can recommend it, not far off the quality of hirsch heavy calf, and has good clasp aswell.
