Hi all,

I spent a lot of time sourcing a bunch of Panerai and Parnis parts. I started with the following parts:

1. 44mm polished Parnis watch case with sapphire glass (eBay $59)
2. Marina Militare 8-day dial + hands (eBay $19)
3. Seagull 6497 movement (eBay $42)

Total cost $120.00 + strap.

Thought I would share it with you. It was a very fun project and gave me a change to use my new watchsmith tools!

Nice fun project, well done. I'd be interested to know where on ebay did you source a rep dial

You can get a PAM with the same quality (or better even since it has markings) for around 100$ on Aliexpress. But if modding/building is your thing, I guess this is one way to go about honing your skill.

Just search eBay for "marina militare dial"

Finally got my strap in for it. Now it has a nice warm brown/tobacco feel to it.

Nicely done.. since u can put parts together. Time for a change of plexi. Lume works , dial repaint.. n many more. U will have more fun !

Why use plexi? I already have sapphire!
