Ok, this is my very first attempt to review a watch. Please bear that in mind when reading/looking!

Some time ago I bought this watch from an italian member at repgeek. I had been looking for a nice 111 quite a long time. At first, I almost bought the 111H from a member here at RWI but someone else got it before me since I was too slow. Then this beauty showed up!

A slightly modded 111 H series with swiss movement (at least that's what the seller told me, I can't see the difference anyway ). Cannon pin has been polished by the seller, and the watch has been relumed by a modder called Domi I think.

The watch came on a gorgeous strap handmade by farquar. It smells and sure looks like leather, but feels like silk/velvet against the skin! Though it is quite stiff compared to the other straps I've tried.

The movement winds and runs smoothly and the power reserve is ok. I think I manage to keep it alive approximately two full days (~48h) maybe a little less, without having to wind it. Normally I wind it in the morning every day I wear it.

To feel this watch on the wrist is awesome! It is by far the heaviest watch I have owned (135g with strap) and it wears very well even though it's a rather big watch with its 44mm. I always get a lot of compliments when I am wearing it, and I proudly tell everybody about the brand Panerai and their awesome watches... My first gen will definately be a Panerai, and probably a 111.

The only thing that bothers me is the lack of good AR. As of now, the crystal is REALLY blue and it is an instant tell when the light comes from the right(wrong) angle. (Even though I like the colour, it looks good in photographs) Probably I will have it AR:ed someday in the future, but I don't like the idea of having to send it a hundred miles back and forth!

OK, now on to the pictures! Not the very best light setup - a desk lamp...

Should have cleaned the back before taking the photos! maybe someone can confirm for me that it is swiss? :)

I just love the strap! And my father is very jealous. After seeing this and trying it on he constantly talks about buying a PAM with a strap just like this!

Now, the final picture - LUME! 1 second exposure time

All images but the one with both strap and caseback in focus are unedited except from resizing and applying some unsharp mask.

Thanks for posting this review and congrats on the watch. It looks great. Great lume. I also like the strap. I have been looking at some of his straps for myself.

thanks :)

I think his straps are really good! I dont know the price though. I like when the strap really looks handmade. Some of the other strap dealers have too "perfect" stitching and finishing for my liking.

There are a lot of them, but the ones that always stick out to me are:

Dimple in gold counter weight
Straight spokes on balance wheel
beveled gears that look more finished
