Pictorial review ***2015 RG Rolex Yachtmaster*** Trustytime version / BP factory

Recently the thread: http://www.repgeek.com/showthread.php?t=251956&highlight=yachtmaster caught my attention.
People were discussing the new 2015 YM. Actually I was not aware of this new YM version untill I saw this thread.

It seems there are 2 versions out there at the moment. Andrew (trustyime) has the best version sofar as I believe.
So I pulled the trigger on a 2836 version. I used Reg. Airmail. It took literally 4 days to reach me, so that was pretty fast.
All well packed and communication was smooth with Andrew.

I noticed this version does have the text "OYSTERFLEX" pressed in the rubber strap as per GEN.
Also the numerals on the bezel are shiny as they should be compared to GEN.
The dial has a matte finish and the strap is soft as butter.
With the watch 2 days in my possession I can say I am really satisfied with the quality.
Another thing I really like is the flashy RG rehaut, when it catches the sun it really pops out.

wow! nice! i wasnt aware there were 2 different versions!!

the bezel seems to have this "dirty" or "uneven" look, is it removable or.? also, is there any AR on the cyclops, doesnt look like it from photos.

Looks great. Is the strap a rubber-coated metal bracelet like the gen? Or is it just plain rubber?

but like chromed says , the bezel looks odd , not only in your photo , but on the dealers pics too .

also , in some pics , the hands lume doesn't seem to match the hour markers lume , just like the bpsd .

but , looking at this http://www.ablogtowatch.com/rolex-yacht-master-116655-268655-everose-gold-ceramic-watches/ it seems the gen doesn't either

I it's nice to see one of these out in the wild. I have to admit for the most part is looks better than expected. But it definitely confirms my concerns about the bezel. The finish is poorly done and the numbers are too rounded and uneven

Yeah, the bezel definitely is quite a disaster. I feel like it may be much harder than it looks to get the correct shape and finishing on the bezel, and so they may be quite far off until we get anything that comes close tot he quality of the gen.

Because the gen appears to have a rough, matte finish on the majority of the bezel with very precisely cut numbers with a gloss finish - it seems they have struggled to get the gloss finish on the numbers without partly polishing the rest of the bezel around them

Hi guys, the bezel finish could have been done better indeed, i agree. When i have time i will try to fix it myself a bit.

Still i am pretty satisfied. In real life the bezel does look better.

The strap is a disaster. It's simply a "Rubber B" strap (and the poor-fitting M102 version to boot) with "Oysterflex" added to the side.

This will be a keeper once Noob makes a version of it. Not until, IMHO.
