Ok...so I love base PAMs & JoeJoeJoe came up with a great idea.
Conversion of a 112G into a 002D or take the dial from a 176 or a 009 and place it in an SS case, which has the same effect as a 112.
Although I love seeing movements via glass backs, up to this point the movements aren't that accurate to the real deal, plus I wasn't in the mood to source dagger regulators, etc...I knew all I had to do was find some kind of 112-ish , slap a solid back on it and off to the races we go.
I had issues acquiring the base sausage dial from our dealers. Because my initial plan was just to get the dial and stick it in one of my SS cases. Fortunately, a member had what he claimed to be a 111 for sale, in fact ended up being a 002/112 dial-ed watch. The member obviously didn't know too much about PAMs because his ad stated a 111 which we all know come with a second subdial at the 9'oclock position.
The reason I don't want to say its a 112G is because his came with a B-series caseback which is really weird. Most 112s come with a glassback showing the G-series or H-series movement.
I can't say its a 002 either because it came with a brushed CG, so I'll have to swap that out with a polished one.
So essentially I got some weird mix of a 002 & a 112...but I could care less because I was having problems getting the base sausage dial.
Anyways, here it is PRE-modded. Its still lovely and I'll enjoy wearing it until it gets shipped off.
