So I'm mostly a base PAM guy, but there are a few submersibles that I like, one of them being the 064....I'm a fan of panda dials...what can I say.


This is all old info, and all my PAM knowledge comes from guys like Babola, Hooligan, & JoeJoeJoe.
I need give a big thanks to these guys. Always there to answer questions and I'm astounding by their
knowledge base.

So why the 064 you ask?
Well, first of all its rare. It was a special edition & 500 pieces were made & the first 1000m PAM sub. They did really well with this rep. Check out the thick crown, oversized CG, beautifully crafted case.

Nice things about the rep:

First of all, dial fonts on PAMs are the biggest issue for me. Thats why I will never buy a sandwich dial PAM, and tend to stick to old school SAUSAGE dial versions. Not only that, but we all know little details will be off, like L SWISS MADE L/ L SWISS ....

HOWEVER, this dial is quite nice. Unlike the 111H, the '12' is quite
close to the gen.

The T SWISS MADE T is acceptable and is under the '6'

Nice solid caseback with correct C-series notations

Some bad things:

The bezel is wrong (check out the hash marks from 0-15). The bezel is actually the bezel of the 087.

The lever should not read 1000m, it should be bare.

Agree, this is one heck of a watch, there's 087 blue dial verison on sale at the moment as we speak.

I wouldn't worry about the bezel hash marks and the fact it belongs to a 087, there is a gen owner on Paneristi who posted pics of his 064 with the 087 bezel that Panerai service centre installed on his 064 after he lost a metal bezel stud

Now off you go, grab a cape cod and polish those round bezel markers like the ones on gen, that was the first thing I did, it makes the whole bezel pop up :wink:

I believe I have seen that. But I might be mistaken.

I think you've inspired my to sell my 243 and get this instead. Too cool for school, even with the flaws!

On a side note, I like the 0-15 marks on the 087 style bezel better than the 064 anyway, so win-win for me!

A perfect Summer watch, and waterproof as well (at least that's what the dealers swear by), and mine hasn't "sprung a leak" yet :wink:

You'll love it, it'll make those 024/025 Subs look anemic, to say the least 8)

Awesome visual fit and tickness for a 17mm Bomba, IMO

Today I tried my MP strap with it...to see how it goes with brown tones...I think out of my limited choices...this is
my favorite...I feel that if I can't pull off the watch that it'll be on its way to Hooli....

Well, dylan's 064 is now my 064! Here are some new pics of it mounted on an exquisite KWong black shark strap I got from horologie_unitas...

The strap is a perfect match for the watch, IMO. The shark skin ties in nicely to the whole Submersible theme, IMO. Plus the strap is really thick at the lugs, so it complements the chunkiness of the 064 perfectly, IMO.

I noticed that it looks great on a variety of straps...I've tried it with a MP, La Spezia, & gen rubber...looked
great on all of them!
