Hello everyone,
I own a few reps that really have nice fit and finish (Noob Planet Ocean and H Factory Seawolf, for example). When I look at them and when I have them in my hands I'm impressed.
My ZF blue Pelagos, though, not so much. So I haven't worn it much. But then I got to thinking maybe all Pelagos reps have the same issues; maybe all Pelagos's have the same issues because of the titanium.
I think my Pelagos has the following issues; could other owners of Pelagos's let me know if they have the same issues? I may buy the V6F version from a TD if I just have a bad example (bought it off a member here and it may just be the case that he was offloading a bad example).
- end link fit to case isn't great: when I look at it, the space between the end link and case is noticeably different at each corner and not uniform at each corner
- the bezel has a lot of play in it: it's a 60 click bezel and after hearing a "click" there is about a half-a-click's worth of play clockwise; at any position there's about a full click's worth of play in it
- bezel rotation does feel smooth when I put downward pressure on it while turning; when I don't put downward pressure on it and turn it feels like it goes through rough spots
- when looked at from the side, I can put downward pressure on the bezel and see it move down (and back up) slightly
- the crown doesn't function perfectly: when I pull the crown out it stops at a position that neither moves the hands nor the date and I have to pull out again while slowly turning it to get it to pop out to the position that moves the hands
Like I said, I'll try direct from a TD if I just have a bad example. I do really like the look of the watch!
Thank you!
