Firstly, thank you to everyone who helped me with QC feedback.
I thought I'd post my experience to help other Noobs with their Pelagos purchase.
My Pelagos has arrived and it is stunning in real life. I feel fortunate that it has arrived so quickly, I was hoping to get it before Christmas and it came this afternoon, exactly 1 week after posting!
Each QC cycle took a week for photos.
The 1st QC had dodgy case back so I rejected it:

The second QC had dodgy lume on the 50:

The 3rd QC looked good, but I was worried about the 12 marker not being straight:

I asked for another photo and it looked better:

I pulled the trigger as it looked pretty good and I was worried that the next might be worse...
Anyway here it is!:

OK here are my QC thoughts on the watch in real life:
1. The watch is beautiful, better than in the images
2. The images make the watch look bigger, especially on the wrist
3. The macro shots allow you to see the markers in extraordinary detail. It is literally extremely difficult to see the sunken square housing enough to discern if the markers are square with the naked eye. DO NOT GET TOO HUNG UP ABOUT THIS. Mine look PERFECT in real life yet OK in the macro images.
4. The markers you most need to worry about being aligned are 12,9,and 6.
5. If the bezel does not seem aligned perfectly (I was worried about this, check the number 30 on last QC photo vs photo after receiving the watch), remember that there is a tiny bit of play in the bezel, and you can move it slightly to align the bezel numbers.
If you are worried about anything, just ask for another photo. Due to potential miscommunication , do not rely on a verbal assurance, get a photo.
Thanks for your help everyone, I hope this post helps someone else.
BTW, my wife loves the watch so that's the toughest test PASSED!!
