Pelagos FXD Tactical Frog Strap comparison

I always thought the M+F FXD Rep and Tactical Frog were actually from the same factory and just selling as Tactical Frog under other name and different dial.
So I thought I order some straps from Tactical Frog to have a replacement and combination choices with different colors.
I was surprised that they are not the same after all!
Besides the different buckle made of Steel instead of Titanium, the fabric, color and stitching is also not same. The Tactical Frog is more khaki, the red stripe is more rough. The fabric is a little bit shinier and more Nylon type than Canvas on the Gen/Rep. The stitching and velcro also different a not.
But still feels good and a good replacement or variation!

I don't think they were the same because M+ uses 8215/Miyota based and TF uses NH35, both different movements require different case work.

However, if you were to ask me if they came out of the same production factory, well... that could be very well the case. If they machine the outer block of the case to be similar, and then deviate CNC for the inside/interior of the case, one for NH35, one for Miyota.... yeah

Movement also different of course yes. Just thought case and Strap might be same factory. Often Hommages and rep look so similar that it seems they might be from same Chinese factory XD

My TF FX came only with the black strap with silver inner, so I ordered a (relatively expensive) green with red strap from Ali, and while the color seems to be identical to the Tudor strap, it's a bit thicker.

By since you brought it up, the Tudor costs $4,4K, the replica from M+ factory costs $425 (so 10%) and the TF costs about $179. I've been wearing mine lately as my favorite daily and the bang-for-buck value is off the charts.

I have recently got a black FXD on M2M here and I'm very impressed with it. No idea what factory it's from but I'd really like a blue one now and have been looking at the Tactical Frogs on the Gate and the price seem very reasonable indeed. It's also good to know that someone here rates the quality.
