The false "V4" and adding more confusion in PAM 111 scene - Jan 2016
Almost every people knows the curious situation regarding the “new†release of the so-called PAM 111 “V4†showed in below links:
http://puretime.watch/product/pam111...th-y-incabloc/
http://www.tswatch.club/16825-pa1682...sian-6497.html
http://www.torobravo2015.com/index.p...roduct_id=1959
http://www.intime.co/panerai/1203-pa...alf-strap.html
This matter is already commented in several threads. Read two of them in below links:
https://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/sh...=1#post-2576616 from post #9
https://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/...1#post-2579342 from post #1122
I will copy below my opinion in above threads:
IMO this is a commercial trick to finish stocks of V3 parts, the crown is “fat†V3, the CG lever is of course the inaccurate Noob lever as usually, and the caseset doesn’t seem a V4. NO nice lug contours and detached from the cushion shape edge as a real V4 has.
Regarding the Y-incabloc it is not GEN Incablock, is a nicely modded rep Incablock, the same as currently used in new rep PAM 127 movements. Of course lyre spring is also rep. Swan neck spring is the same inaccurate Noob as always. Micrometric screw seems a bit improved with longer head and longer thread (but not enough) and the tip is wrongly pointed (maybe the same screw used in new 2015 reps of PAM 127).
The OFFICINE PANERAI engraving on bridges varies from almost correct to a horrible, sloppy and thicker inaccurate engraving.
I think is not correct to call it PAM 111 V4, because the caseset is not (or at least no completely) a V4.
For me this rep is just a Pam 111 V3 with a nicely modded Y-incablock and inconsistent OFFICINE PANERAI engraving on bridges.
Calling this version PAM 111 V4 is MISLEADING and for me a commercial trick as above commented.
At least some dealers are selling this watch at low price (indeed actually suspicious)
THE LAST “NEW†RELEASE FROM KW
Since we didn’t have confusion enough about PAM 111. Adding more confusion in PAM 111 scene, I saw this link from KW catalogue:
KW BEST EDITION PANERAI PAM111. A6497
http://www.kuvarsit.watch/kw-product...pam111.-a6497/
This match is sold like the best edition from KW
This rep is fitted with a nice KW “slip†Crown, maybe the bezel is KW because the edges are sharp. Modded Y-Incablock is missing.
But the CG lever has a suspicious over-angled roller support, just like a Noob.
And … the mid-case… ?
Do you recognise these lug contours on below pics ?
Is it me or the mid-case is a typical Noob V3 ?
At least KW is selling this rep with special price
In this way we will have to stop buying PAM 111
