A vintage trio for beginners
![](http://s5.postimg.org/pmpjxzl87/bs_16.jpg)
These are my first vintage pieces, and all have been built by black_shark.
I cannot stress enough how nice, patient and skilled this guy is, I contacted him knowing absolutely nothing about vintage builds and he assisted me and advised me on how to have a taste of this aspect of our hobby without breaking my bank account.
Ref. 6154
First one he built for me was the 6154 with brown dial:

Great textured brown RP dial with double pencil hands
![](http://s5.postimg.org/w545mbcc7/bs_8.jpg)
Polished case with clear and thick plexiglass
![](http://s5.postimg.org/ynpumzy2f/bs_11.jpg)
Beautiful display caseback with OPB engravings from Nightwatch. Movement is a 6497 decorated to vaguely resemble an Angelus I think. Nice as it is for me
You can see more pics of it HERE.
Ref. 3646
I liked the 6154 so much that soon after I asked him to build a 3646 with a radium burn cream dial:

Impressive texture of the dial, black lumed numbers and black hands
![](http://s5.postimg.org/m5996f12v/bs_7.jpg)
Aged midcase and polished bezel, low dome plexi

Closed thin caseback with "kampfschwimmer" engravings:
Again, more pics of it HERE.
Ref. 6152/1
It took me a little longer to ask black_shark to build a 6152/1 for me, because I wanted to do my homework this time and do some research on the model. Of course the only thing I ended up with was a huge headache, since the sources are so fragmented and variations are almost infinite even among the same reference.
It would have taken ages to gain some knowledge based on pics only, so once again I asked him to build this watch for me knowing only which color of the dial I was after
![](http://s5.postimg.org/ycxr6w27r/6152_1.jpg)
Black 4-liner LPMM 2 piece dial with seconds subdial and angelus-style hands
![](http://s5.postimg.org/p0mcda52v/bs_9.jpg)
DSN 6152 case engraved between the lugs and brushed CG with raised pin, matte black 2 piece dial
![](http://s5.postimg.org/otsnr643b/6152_5.jpg)
"BREV ITAL" engraved on CG
![](http://s5.postimg.org/n9iqf16bb/6152_3.jpg)
The case could use some reshaping on the side and on the lugs, but it's ok for now
![](http://s5.postimg.org/5qfbtuj3r/bs_6.jpg)
Thick "frosted" plexi
![](http://s5.postimg.org/60mud6xpz/bs_12.jpg)
Thick closed caseback with circular brushing
![](http://s5.postimg.org/un2prqfqv/6152_12.jpg)
Obviously, a nice vintage strap with GPF Mod. Dep. buckle

Each and every time the result has been better than expected, and now, having them in my hands, I start to see the differences between various cases, now how and where they could use some reshaping and other small improvements start to become clearer.
That's why I call these “beginnersâ€, my journey into vintage watches has just begun, and there could not have been a better start
Thanks RWI and all members for introducing me to this hobby.
