Some weeks ago PAM 024C was released but I've never liked the full pulished bezel from the series A B and C... So I decided to buy the V6F version of the newer 024R.

Where did I buy it?

I bought it from Andrew ( trustytimestore.com )

About the transaction, I must thank Andrew for the good service and fast shipment. One day after payment I recieved the QC pics and once I approved them they sent me the tracking number 2 days later.
Also the watch came very well packaged and protected. For sure I will order him again next time. 100% recommended.

The watch

The original PAM 024R was released on 2015 and the rep was released by V6F on last quarter of 2016. There wasn't too much talk and I haven't seen any review about this watch so I'm making my honest review with my impressions about this rep. I'm not going to compare it with the gen and neither going to point all the minimal flaws. I used to worry about it some years ago, now I enjoy the watches and I'm more worried about the construction and quality of the watch itself.

Here we go...

Case , Crown Guard and Bezel

The case is 44mm polished luminor case. It´s same case as all Luminor pams (111, 112, 005,..) With all the pams models repped nowadays it´s obvious that the middle case is solid and well done.

The CG is all polished. Its also same as all Luminor, It's not like the typical Submersible crownguard. It has no engravings and It's well made with straght corners , not rounded. The lever works fine and soft. Maybe a little loose but still ok.

Bezel is one of the parts I like the most about this rep. The engravins look great. It turns 60 clicks and it feels good. No loose, no gap, very solid bezel. I love it.

Dial and hands

The dial on this rep is superb. Numbers and dots are nearly perfect and lume on dial and hands shines like a torch. Fonts and subdials look correct to me. As I said I haven't compared it with gen but for what I see the look correct .

Movement and caseback

No flaws with the movement as it wears a closed caseback. The movement is the reliable A 7750. Works great with a good power reserve but with a little noisy rotor. It has a solid closed caseback with all the engravings deep and correct with no spelling mistakes.

Crystal

Sapphire crystal with single side AR. The AR has blueish tint. It could be better for the price honestly. I have seen reps with better AR on the crystal. And the magnifying glass is the worst part of the watch IMHO. It doesn't magnify at all. This is the only thing I don't like about the watch.

Strap

Watch came with rubber strap. Good quality rubber strap with deployant clasp nicely engraved. I don't like pams with rubber so as soon as I recieved I changed the strap for the Dirk strap in the pics. Anyway this rubber straps looks good. If you like rubber...

Conclusions:

Pros

- The dial and bezel are superb

- Case, caseback , crown and crown guard are good enough. Like other top pams reps.

Cons

-Noisy (but reliable) movement.

-AR on crystal could be better and magnifying glass doesn't magnify at all.

Thanks for watching.

Thanks for the review René, amazing as always. I usually like more the 47mm Submersible Panerais but this one is outstanding.

Hi

Nice looking Pam!

Can I ask, how noisy is the rotor?

I am currently having a issue with a new pam688, just wondering if this is normal for replica pams.

Is the noise like metal hitting when you turn the watch face?

Its not so noisy, 7750 movements normally are noisy but not that much. Take it to a watchsmith and he will fix it fur sure

It’s more of a free spinning rotor noise. The 7750 movement winds only in one direction so the rotor is free to spin in the other direction, that’s where the noise comes from.

It’s basically a flick of the wrist and sometimes you can still hear the whirling sound.

This is normal for all unidirectional winding movements which includes the Miyota 9015.

Thank you for this information, is this the case as well with the p.9001 movement GMT? I wanted to pop the back open to see if I can tightening anything. But the not sure how to get a pam back case off without scratching it.

Yes, it should be the same with the P.9001 movement. Be it the decorated 7750 to 9001 movement or the VSF super clone 9001. Don't count me on the info on the VSF super clone 9000/9001 movements tho, I'm only about 80% sure they're unidirectional.
The gen 9001 OTOH, should wind in both directions so it theoretically shouldn't be as 'noisy' as any form of 7750 or VSF 9001 movement.
