Hi all,
this is my first contribution as part of the PC Team and hopefully this will be a good start for me...
I chanced upon this blog and found this particular thread which will be useful to the members here..
I have noticed that many members are upgrading their Super Pam Reps with Gen Straps..which means they are buying either from the AD or from the grey market/pre-owned..
As such, the below information will be useful for those buying from the latter and for the others, something to take note of..
Content from this thread as follows:
This is a post which you can follow when need to buy Panerai straps in the market, to avoid those fake straps.
If you have ever bought original Panerai straps, you certainly know this packaging. Transparent plastic bag with light blue sticker.
Let’s start with the packaging.
First observe the blue printing, the right genuine product with smooth blue lines, however, the left one with small points. Besides, check the distance between fonts, see the number “1?.
Check the smoothness of the font, “Xâ€, “3?, “M†letters, look carefully.
Put the fakes among genuine Panerai straps and their packaging, you can tell them immediately.
Whilst this is not a fool-proof method of ensuring that you will get a gen strap if in the above packaging, it helps to know so that you will not have to lose your hard-earned cash to scammers.
Remember to always do your research especially when buying in the grey market..Know your buyer before buying the watch/watch parts, etc..
Hope you enjoyed reading this!
