Parcel caught up in Malaysian Customs - Need some advice!

Hey guys,

I've been buying replica watches for many years and has vast experience with receiving high value parcels from overseas. But this month has been very unlucky for me, for the very first time.

I bought 2x Rolex Submariners (one JF and one Noon) with Price Without Service option to be shipped to Malaysia. PWS doesn't cover shipment losses and I understand and accepted that risk. I told them to declare it as $40 USD to be shipped as used watch parts, and they did as what I told.

After a few days I receive a call from the Post office and they told me the parcel was held back by customs for unknown reasons. I knew I was in trouble. The post office asked for two things specifically to process the shipment, an invoice and proof of payment.

I have very good Photoshop skills, so I forged a AliExpress invoice, and also played with the bank statement figures, to showed them I paid 130 USD for both of these watches. As anything above 125 USD will get taxed.

Today I received an email from the Post office who showed me the official custom tax invoice. Apparently in the invoice, it states that there is only 1 watch, instead of 2. And the customs valued the watch at $700 USD which is not the true value, but I only had to pay $50 for tax and processing fee.

I'm fine with the amount they ask me to pay, but what worries me the most is that the customs invoice only states there is 1 watch instead of 2.

Could this be a possibility that the custom officer took 1 of my watches for herself? I believe the custom officer went online to Google the actual value of the product. I did state some details but not the make or factory maker.

As this is a counterfeit watch, it will be extremely difficult for me to argue with them or even go over to the customs to solve this issue. I am now having mix feelings and only can choose one of the following options:

1. Ignore the tax invoice and pay $50 and see what happens
2. Write back to them to tell them there is actually two watches as stated in the invoice earlier, so there must be a mistake, and also the over evaluation of the watches
3. Leave it and let them send it back to China (could be a very bad idea)

Anyone here has similar experiences? I would like to hear some opinions.

Seems no feedback here. But here's an update
update, I went with option 2. Wrote back to the post office to state there are two watches and I don't mind paying the current taxes. They agree and post out my watches.

I received them today. I'm really glad the custom officer didn't confiscate it or swap it with another.

It was a rollercoaster experience but was worth it.

Canada, eh
glad everything turned out well,
you definitely picked the right option - at the end of the day, they just wanted to get paid, I don't think custom care too much about fakes, even so, they do not have the expertise, however, I guess they have a clue as to what they are

I can also see why there might not be any feedback from others - got too complicated
but at the end, you got your watch(es) and you didn't have to pay too much to release them, good to see all turned out well

So which price was declared on package? How they valued it at 700usd?
