Hey guys,
I've been buying replica watches for many years and has vast experience with receiving high value parcels from overseas. But this month has been very unlucky for me, for the very first time.
I bought 2x Rolex Submariners (one JF and one Noon) with Price Without Service option to be shipped to Malaysia. PWS doesn't cover shipment losses and I understand and accepted that risk. I told them to declare it as $40 USD to be shipped as used watch parts, and they did as what I told.
After a few days I receive a call from the Post office and they told me the parcel was held back by customs for unknown reasons. I knew I was in trouble. The post office asked for two things specifically to process the shipment, an invoice and proof of payment.
I have very good Photoshop skills, so I forged a AliExpress invoice, and also played with the bank statement figures, to showed them I paid 130 USD for both of these watches. As anything above 125 USD will get taxed.
Today I received an email from the Post office who showed me the official custom tax invoice. Apparently in the invoice, it states that there is only 1 watch, instead of 2. And the customs valued the watch at $700 USD which is not the true value, but I only had to pay $50 for tax and processing fee.
I'm fine with the amount they ask me to pay, but what worries me the most is that the customs invoice only states there is 1 watch instead of 2.
Could this be a possibility that the custom officer took 1 of my watches for herself? I believe the custom officer went online to Google the actual value of the product. I did state some details but not the make or factory maker.
As this is a counterfeit watch, it will be extremely difficult for me to argue with them or even go over to the customs to solve this issue. I am now having mix feelings and only can choose one of the following options:
1. Ignore the tax invoice and pay $50 and see what happens
2. Write back to them to tell them there is actually two watches as stated in the invoice earlier, so there must be a mistake, and also the over evaluation of the watches
3. Leave it and let them send it back to China (could be a very bad idea)
Anyone here has similar experiences? I would like to hear some opinions.
