I've spent the last few weeks scouring this board (btw, thanks for everyone who puts the time and effort in to make this great information available to everyone!!) for a replacement of my 3 year old PAM 164 Noob that I loved up until it died. I am leaning towards migrating to a bigger watch that I think I can pull off via the PAM127 E ZF. I will be purchasing this from Angus but looking for any feedback (on build quality and experience) that have purchased this previously so I can get back to what pays the bills.

Build quality is for the watch, experience I presume is for the TD. Those are two separate factors.

For the watch, the ZF and the V6F versions are very much neck in neck in terms of build quality, with the added bonus of having a Y-incabloc that the Noob version does not have.

As for the TD, well Puretime is a TD so that speaks for itself but if you want to know what the buying experience is like then read on the feedback section. Be aware though that most post only negative reviews more than positive ones.

Thanks for the reply @mysterio.. Actually I should have been clearer with what I meant by experience. I was looking for feedback on if the 127 met their expectations after purchasing it. I understand what you mean regarding more negative feedback on the TD.

If reliability of the watch is your concern, then you shouldn't worry. The A6497 movement used in the Noob, ZF and V6F versions of the PAM127 are virtually the same (except for the Y-incabloc mod on the ZF and V6F) and it's a solid movement. No worries on the longevity, and if it does fail, the movement is so basic it can be repaired by any competent watchmaker (make sure he's rep friendly though). In fact you can also inquire about the PAM164 which isn't working as it should only be using a standard 7750 movement, also relatively easy to fix. ;)
