Hi, I just got QC pics for a Cartier Panthere 22mm YG. The gold looks too yellow to me, too intense. I am not sure how the watch looks in real but the color seems off. It could be the camera settings, I think the blue in the pic is also very vivid. It could also be my screen calibration. The factory is K11. Please let me know what you think. Maybe by experience you know YG looks very yellow in pic but better IR. Maybe not. thx

That's the gamble that you go into when buying a "solid gold" looking rep.
We never know what parts of gold and other metals are in the plating or if it's gold plated at all.
In the first picture, the inside looks a bit too reddish, the second picture looks fine though.

Thx both for your feedback!

And yes I know it s a gamble. I would not have bought it in YG myself, but my wife thinks different...

Absolutely incorrect gold color. This looks like more like Thai Gold or Pakistani Gold.

that's also what I thought. I remember this very vivid gold color in Dubai jewelries.
so I get different opinions now. Is it something i should discuss with the TD? Can requesting another same watch from the same factory result in a different color?

Most likely no chance for other gold colors. As mentioned: they all have different gold plating mixtures so your best luck would be another batch most likely.

for me it looks good but for the others, it looks not same gold color as gen. I already bought it so I may need to plated on it

Mine was 238usd. Even if the color is off. I still gl it after seeing some natural light shots. It will not be the good color but I couldn't be bothered any longer. We'll see. It's on its way to me.

The picture looks oversaturated with light. Ask for an outdoor picture in natural light. It's most likely fine, but I don't know that model or maker and odds are you will never run into one in the wild while wearing it.

Your model seems to be made by 8848F factory or how they call themselves on intime... K11=KOR factory (according to my non TD). The K11 is different from 8848F regarding the case back where it says „stainless steel“ which is not so right on a YG watch.

the KOR got a different link construction which can be only seen from the back. The 8848F version on the other hand uses more material so the watch appears to be heavier which is a nice addition as you dont see the backside anyways.

i got the 27mm version from 8848F for my girlfriend and the color is good enough. I thought of a replating once the first plating starts to fade. That is the only reason to control what goes inside the plating solution and how thick it actually is.

i think this rep is good for what it is and these small inacuracies can be overlooked as long as the wearer is aware of the watch being a plated rep.

Thx for your input.
According to my TD, KOR and K11 are not the same factories.
in rl the color is better.
I will add some natural light pics below.

I haven't been able to compare with a Gen yet but I think the gold color is acceptable. Definitely better than on the QC pictures. That being said I am not a specialist when it comes to gold.
