Only thing I can say for sure is that the screws are always going in different direction with Gen's as well.

Yea you're right, just took a look at the gen and the screws aren't aligned on the back.In terms of the SELs I think they're fine -- comparing to someone else's QC pics for the same watch posted on reddit:

Hi, it may be the lighting, but the gem on the crown does not look evenly round. It's not something a normal person would notice though and you can probably sand it down once you get it.

Rest of it watch look good to my eye.
