Paneristi. com?

Hi Guys,
Many of you know I've recently purchased my First Pam, and love it would be a understatement. Well my first move has been to locate a new strap. In my searching I ran across Paneristi.com and joined, then posted a want to Buy thread... I was contacted pretty quick from a member with a OEM strap,and I made a deal for it . I'm now wondering if it was the right thing? Have many of you had dealings on that site? I know as far as my deal goes there's know way of knowing but is the site a pretty good resource? Also I noticed a strap maker there that is a closed dealer here (HKTAN) and I like some of the custom straps he sells, does anyone know why he's not trusted with us anymore? :wyliehelp:

I just looked up the definition for ASSUME, then stomped my own toe! And also about hktan?I've looked at What Bronzy has, but Aaron has one that I really like, but he's in the closed dealer list and after reading about that Asshat at Trusty I'm skeptical of anyone in the closed dealer section.

I wasn't looking at closed dealers. I looked at a guys post on paneristi that was making straps from a antique chair that came from a old hotel, I thought that was very cool so I emailed him, he sent me pics of some very cool pieces of leather, some that was way cooler then the chair, he wants to charge me $150 to make me a strap out of my choice of the leather he supplied pictures of... Well when I was trying to find your page on RWI Bronzy I noticed the hktan name in the closed dealer section and that's the guy that is making the cool straps on Paneristi. I thought it was odd that he got closed here and I figured I best find out why before I send him $150.00.. I promise you my loyalty lies with RWI and its dealers, if they have what I'm looking for...I'm not trying to be a smart ass, just explaining how I wound up in the closed dealer section.

I buy and sell on the paneristi forum all of the time
Never had a problem with any members, vendors, buyers or sellers in my many us and international transactions there
Normal trust rules apply so protect yourself but much like here most everyone is on the up and up

Thanks all... I ordered a OEM strap from a member there, hopefully all will be fine. I wish I would have asked around here to find out that there are OEM available through our members and I would have went that direction... I've held the deal with hktan because of how our admin speaks of his service....I realize it sometimes takes longer when dealing with custom made items and sometimes members may get antsy, but our admin and moderators are very understanding and would not choose to close a dealers privileges without damn good reason as we all suffer when we lose any of these specialist.... so I've ask Bronzy about this type of custom work....
