PANERAI's CLOCK TICKING

I have a pam 111h handwind... its very realistic and i loved it!

but the clock ticking is a little bit annoying... litlle bit too loud than normal...

when I am in a empty and silence room, its really annoying!

do you guyz think that kind of noise is normal???

i have other watches (other brands) and any of them make high clock ticking like that...

i have had asian 6497, but never that loud ! intresting.

some lube might quiet it down.. could ask rbj69 or vaccum..

the watch was "brand new"... i bought it in dec 2007 and decide to use only in may 2008...

In my experience, the A6497s tick louder than the Swiss 6497s. And all of my reps with 6497s tick louder than either of my gens...

As long as it's keeping good time, nothing to worry about, IMO.

I like the ticking, I have a Railmaster hand wind (Asian)) and its ticking is loud when in a room, but it's dampened by pretty much anything you put over it, close the box its in or put some music. Come to think of it, I only listen to it when I'm paying attention to it, otherwise I will just ignore it.

maybe avoid empty and silent rooms. Actually for me the ticking sound that a watch makes or a nice clock is rather pleasant. Maybe you just happen to get an acoustically perfect case...you're not a piano tuner are you???

all kidding aside i had a rolex pocket watch vintage and it ticked loudly and i use to put it on the night stand and listen to it ticking and it seemed to help me sleep better , now i dont have it i sleep like shit, lmao

that's true...you know they say that our bodies have an internal clock inside, mine must be a 7750 secs @ 6.

Understand that although your watch is brand new, they are shipped bone dry! Proper servicing has always been a necessity to ensure long life of the watch.. may also be the key to tone down a loud one!

I have a 111H swiss 6497.. Same problem.. too loud in silent room. I am planing to have it look at buy the guy who sell it to me.
