Panerai second hand problem!

Hi all,
I recently bought a Panerai Luminor Power Reserve from EL and have a problem with the second hand. The second hand isn't very smooth at all. It's very choppy and sometimes stops for a few seconds and then jumps forward to catch up. Otherwise the watch is very accurate, something like +/- 5 seconds a day. EL said that the second hand should smooth out in a couple weeks, but it's been a couple weeks now and it's still the same. Anyone have a similar problem and/or solution? It's an Asian movement on this one.

I have seen similar problem last time. Didn't really get to the bottom of the problem. You may wish to exchange the watch.

Thanks for the advice, I'll contact EL. Too bad though since it's the most accurate watch I have out of my reps or gen! However, the choppy second hand is a dead giveaway!
