Hi i just receive 2 days ago 2 panerais from trusty HWF Pam177 and NOOB Pam111, i wind it both for 40 times and they only last like 28 hours and then stops..
its not normail right? i just mailed andrew and he told me this:

We did check and QC the watches before we ship it out the watches. We even sent the QC pics and also QC calibration pics which shows the watch is functional and works well before we send it out.

Please try this and allow the movement to run in over 4-5 days time.

You can try to wind up via the crown about 10-15 rounds clockwise and shake the watch to rotate the movement plate / tap the side of the watch hard against your palm. It should be able to work OK.

im doing something wrong? what can i do?

Wind it, and wear it one full day, then let it rest and take time.

I believe both are handwind only movements, at least the 111 is. The 6497 clone should have about 40-42h power reserve, if intact and fully wound.

That could mean that it takes more than 40 turns to fully wind it. But be very very gentle. You'll feel resistance when the spring is fully wound. Then stop immediately. If you overwind it, you'll brick it.

And as an afterthought: Apart from the potential risk to overwind them, those movements are very sturdy and absolute reliable workhorses. Unless proven otherwise I think it's unlikely that something is wrong with them. Your call for help from Trusty might have been a bit premature, no offence intended.

Welcome! You seem a bit nervous - which is understandable considering you just joined within the past few months and I would assume these are your first rep purchases.

First of all; be happy that you received both watches without any customs issues, damage or theft. Secondly remember that these are mid-grade reps that are assembled from parts sourced from dirty Chinese factories that have no care for COSC standards. The 'Noob' 111 is not really a Noob as they shut down after the last raids a few years ago. Dealers are calling these current 111's 'Noob' falsely just to aide sales because anyone who does 10 seconds of research will find that the true Noob 111's were great reps.

Regarding the PR of your PAM's - just wear them for a while. Let the movements run down and then wind them 30-40 turns for a few cycles - this should 'break in' the movement. After this, let the movement run down and then wind until you feel the slightest resistance - set the time and monitor PR.

If there's no improvement, consider having them cleaned / serviced or just accept the current PR performance.

Also take into consideration that PAMs have a unique crown guard, that alters the distance the crown will turn. If you hear only 4-5 clicks per turn it will take more turns in total to fully wind it, than with 7-8 clicks per turn. So 40 turns is only relative.

Wind the A64976 until you cannot wind it anymore. You will feel resistance. Then measure from there how many hours you get.

This movement should give around 38-42 hrs power when fully wound.

The vast majority of Asian 6497 have a power reserve of 56-57 hours , just like the ETA 649x-2 wich they are inspired from.
Most Swiss Unitas 6497/8 have a power reserve of 46 hours and most ETA 6497/8-1 have a power reserve of 51-54 hours.
Depending on crowns and model, for a full wind one would need between 50 and 120 full turns.

My pam111 will last approx 40 hrs when wound around 40 times. But here's the thing, when I take it out of the box after not wearing it for awhile I will give it 25+30 Winds before I "think" there is a bit of resistance. Then it's stops after approx 20-24 hours. After that I can wind it 40 times and it's back to normal. So in my mind my watch likes to rest itself before a full work load 😂😂

Nothing wrong with using a manual wound caliber like that if you plan to wear it for 6-8 hours and then maybe you will wear that watch again after 11 days.
If it's a watch you use often , learning how to wind a mechanical caliber to full should be the first step, not counting turns and guessing.
It's a replica , not a genuine OP XI , worst case scenario you buy an ST3600 for peanuts and have the mainspring replaced.
