Is there a source other than Panerai for small things? Like crown screws?
I just called my local Panerai distributor, Time Works Honolulu, and the f**kers wanted $15 for one screw!
I know Panerai used to sell these for under a $1 if I'm not mistaken!
Panerai says that they are not allowed to sell to the public anymore. Another great thing Richemont Group is doing. Kinda sad.
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I know a local watchmaker that is one of the most respected in the area. He works on Rolexes, Breitlings and other fine watches. He says he can't even get rubber gaskets from Panerai.

Kinda sad, I thought Rolex was bad. At least with Rolex parts are never a problem.
Seems like it adds value to Rolex because you can repair a Rolex from the 50's no problem. Very few watches offer parts availability like that.

Yep, Panerai is stopping the sale of parts. The answer is "Send it in to one of the Regional Service Centers, and we'll replace the part for you." It's actually a smart move by Panerai/Richemont, but it sucks for us....

I think that is such a crock of shiat by Panerai or any company fo that matter. It forces EVERY repair no matter how tiny to endure the headache and EXPENSE of shipping your watch off to a Regional Service Center for repairs. It drives prices up even more as well. Ridiculous, expensive and VERY time consuming.

My Omega (gen) recently went back to its home for a service and did not get back to me for 6 months and $350!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (actually a relatively cheap service for a gen - often they are $400-600)
