Hi everyone !

I seem to have a winding issue with my PAM005, however am not too sure what is the root of the problem despite having opened it up. I have uploaded a video in dropbox below, any help would be greatly appreciated :) ! Thanks

- it seems to have a problem to with the click wheel returning back although I am not sure whether it could also be the ratchet and crown wheel having an issue as well
- the watch doesn't lose time or accuracy just that the winding is horrible !

Sounds like a gear is skipping, perhaps missing a tooth.

Hi teddy have you tried removing the screw for the ratchet wheel and checking the spring underneath to make sure it's seated correctly? It looked to me like the ratchet is moving too much when it clicks back into position

Hi guys thanks for your replies I have checked the tooth of the ratchet wheel and crown wheel and it seems intact of now (for the wheel ebauches not too sure how to get access to that will look it up), as of the spring under the ratchet wheel I shall have a look :) thanks

I was going to say that, worn out winding pinion could be the cause.

@kilowattore thank you for your input appreciated especially coming from the PAM master himself !

@hubrisin Yes ! I was looking into buying an ETA6497 on homageforum for it some months ago but I don't think I have the skills (nor the courage !) to do it myself although I have decased 6497's movement and adjusted the time in the past..

ETA all the way! Send it out, you're probably looking at about$50 for the swap and it'll probably outlast us. @ado213 is in your part of the world... perhaps he can help?

Winding pinion is most likely stripped.

I had a 111 Noob that had that same prob.
