Hi guys, new member here. Ive been wanting to get a pam 250/251 daylight with the asian 7753 movement with the flushed date wheel.

I did a search and and havent seen any post that answered by questions. Except for a flushed CG... not sure what a CG is.

Anyways, I have a guy that wants to sell me one but my concerns are what are the flaws of the new 250/251 replica with the modified 7753 movement? He said its even lumed with superluminova.

Basically I was just wondering if anyone knew the flaws of the new rep compared to the gen 250/251.

Thanks in advance.

CG = crown guard. It's the little half moon shaped thing with the lever that protects/covers the crown.

As to the flaws of the new rep vs. the gen? Don't know, sorry.

go to a website callled http://www.blowers-jewellers.co.uk/panerai.htm they sell gen wathes and have really good pictures, scroll down the Panerai section, it is long, and you should find the model you are after. The images might help you make a comparison.

The flaws for any rep vs gen are sometimes very minor and you would have to get an expert to to know, but there are many pam geeks here who could give you a detailed analysis, where the hell are they.

Regarding the movements, the Chinese have engineered their cloned movements for reliability, the 7750 is generally reliable but of course things can go wrong with any movement, gen or rep, from time to time.

Thanks a lot for the post.

Ya I myself tried to look at the flaws visually with the rep vs the gen but honestly with all the reps floating around I dont even know if im looking at a rep vs rep comparison.

I know on the pam 111 the numbers and markers / hands are more ivory / milk white color compared to the rep which is more of a green hue to it.

Id just like to know the small details if possible just to know for myself.
