Panerai Luminor Marina found in backstreet market in Thailand - real/copy/worthwhile?

Photos attached. The case is in a real state but everything works and the power reserve is at least 12 hours. Cost me a massive 50 Baht or 1 pound. Apart from the corrosion on the case and the c**p strap it looks nice. But I know nothing about Panerai I am much more into JLC and AP

The likelihood of buying a real one in a back street in Thailand for 50 Baht is small so I presume it is a replica? (overly optimistic?)

Please help with the model (Luminor Marina), age, how old is it? How good a rep is it? Manufacturer? What is the movement?

IS IT WORTHWHILE spending time and effort making this look good

Can I clean the case - advice on how would be appreciated
or get a new case - where?

For a bit more than $150 you can have H-factory 111 which is of amazing quality for the price.

All of them. For example Toro has one at $158, Sead $159 and I was looking at few other TD's with similar pricing. Their shipping charges varies a bit so check it out before you order.
