Anybody know where I can find a PAM 00332 1950 Luminor Rattrappante Regata rep? This is an older model and most of the TRD’s no longer carry them.

I'm afraid M2M is your only way to go. Like you said it's an older model and it would be near impossible to get one from the TDs at this point. Good luck as given the very nice replication and relative unavailability I would not expect it to pop up regularly.

Unfortunately the comments everyone provided are correct. No TD that I have contacted can provide a PAM 332 Regatta Rattrappante. I even asked if a factory would custom make one. No go; they don’t offer that service.

I see the 332 rarely posted, your only luck is to score one m2m

until then, enjoy (not for sale!)

Impressed, and envious. I’ve been told the factories will not consider making them again. I’d have better luck trying to find the remnants of the UFO that crashed in Roswell in 1947 than what is on your wrist.

If you find remnants of the UFO that crashed in Roswell in 1947, let me know.

Back to the topic, I sus[ect the main reason the factory will not make it again (and the reason the watch cost so much) was that the movements used in these watches had low yield. It was so low that they could only make 80 pieces according to the TDs. I thought the factory had gotten a new batch of movements (or had the faulty ones repaired) when it was rumored that a new batch of watches would be coming out. Sadly that's all it turned out to be, a rumor.

I even took a long shot and asked if a factory would custom make a PAM 332. Not happening.

Factories typically don't make anything unless they are assured of 300-500 sales. That's how some watch projects get made. But it's probably a longshot to get 300-500 members to pay for the watch upfront (as factories and the TDs who initiated the project have been burned before with deposit type orders).

I misspoke earlier, I was referring to the PAM213, not the PAM332. The PAM213 (with an actual working rattrappante) suffered from low yields on the movement. The PAM332 suffered from a niche demand (they released it in time for the Expendables movie).

Evidently the PAM 250 Luminor Daylight has met the same fate as the PAM 332. Jason Statham wore this watch in one of the Transporter movies, second one, I believe. No TD’s can provide one.

Most "old-school" reps are no longer being made. More than half my collection fits that description.

Other than M2M anyone ever heard of a TD, or otherwise reliable dealer, who deals in “old school”, out of stock Panerai? Yes, I’m shooting in the dark but decided to ask anyway.

You can send a DSN letter. Sometimes he can make an interesting proposal, with substantive interest. However, this will be a model of its production.
