Hi Hannes
You can see the GUIDE and the EXCEL TABLE GUIDE in the links as follows:

CURRENT VERSION PAM GUIDE EXCEL TABLE
Updated 9th October 2012

"Reference PAM REVIEW-GUIDE" - Replica Search, Identification, Evaluation & Selection
http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/reference-pam-review-107365

In the Excel table you can find all the imputs you want and even you could add more by yourself. Use the autofilter function for more search power.

Apparently you have never appreciated the usefulness of a spreadsheet and most likely, the variety of PAMs. As ALE mentioned you can add categories to the spreadsheet and use the autofilter function. Your list only considers 4 factors, if you add the destro designation, which does not capture every variation of Panerai watches. There is no mention about case finish, bezel finish, dial color, date window, subdials, logo or pig, open or closed caseback, etc, all of which are in the Excel file.

Using your search parameters on the Excel file for example. Just filter DESCRIPTION with contains "Sub" (for Submersible), set Diam. to "47" and Case Material to "Titanium" and you get these hits.

But what if you needed to know which one had a closed caseback? Or a SS bezel for a nice contrast to the Titanium? Then you'd need to look at each watch. Yes, you could do that with 3 watches. But with the spreadsheet, you already can see that. I'm sorry but saying a list is better than a spreadsheet for something that contains 3 variables is incorrect. It just means you're not using the spreadsheet properly.

Hi mysterio
Many thanks for your kind cooperation and explanation
I see you have already used the Excel GUIDE ... LOL
Yes this is the way to use the Excel GUIDE by the Autofilter function.
It really is very useful for these purposes. I'm tryng to include the Evaluation od the reps, but it is not easy, without a complication of the general use, because there are several versions for each watch. I will study it step by step.
Thank you, because I see that you are doing a well service in this PAM Section with sound and wise advices.

Hi Hannes
The Excel PAM GUIDE is completely revised and updated with all replicas in the market. It was a result from the PAM GUIDE study. I used it during the creation of the PAM GUIDE.
The Autofilter function is an EXCEL feature and it doesn't depend on the computer or iPad. You must read an Excel Tutorial.
Basically you click in the grey arrow at the top of each column and you will open a window with all the options included in the column. You can select with several criteria. Try it it is very easy.
You can accumulate filters in other columns. You could start with Case diameter, then the material of the case, then the PAM type, then the dial tipe... etc

Anyway it is better to use it in a computer with big screen and a mouse

ALE,

Just paying it forward. You've already done the hard work, just helping others out with making the most out of it. ;) I'm not a PAM expert, but I am good with technical stuff. :D

@Hannes,

I do agree with ALE on using a full screen computer for the spreadsheet. The iPad as of the moment does not have an app to create or apply filters on spreadsheets. I suppose that your iPad has internet access so you can use a workaround; Google Docs.

Unfortunately it cannot create complex text filters but it can filter values such as 47, Titanium, etc. Open the google document I have uploaded on your iPad (it's the Oct. 1 version but it's just an example).

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ajmu7x7ljMlAdDVWQVJrQllqdDRzTnMwelFleFNJSGc#gid=0

1. Click the dropdown arrow for Diam. in Column T, select Clear and then select 47
2. Click the dropdown arrow for Case Material in Column J, select Clear again and select Titanium
3. Lastly, click the dropdown arrow for Type in Column A, select Clear again and select LUM. 1950 SUBMERSIBLE 47mm.
4. Viola! Same result.

By the way, this is my first time using spreadsheets in Google Docs. If I was able to figure it out, so can you.
