Found this sitting on the shelf

boom.jpg

Just got it from a member a few days ago and had not even worn it. I took the crown guard off to clean it.
Put the watch on a shelf, came back a few hours later - glass shards everyewhere.

So - anyone know where I find a replacement crystal - preferably saphire instead of mineral glass?

Sucks to hear that Time Bandit. A memeber here got one from Trevor so he might be able to get one for you too.

I think on other model is also problem. I have one on vintage model. Just hit the stone slightly and leave just a very tiny scratch mark. Leave it overnight. In the morning it crack all over. Getting new one from DVN now.

Holy cow... I'm pretty certain thats a watch I had pondered buying but passed on due to the mineral crystal status of it. I'm sorry you have to incur additional expense to enjoy what appears to have been a nice looking pam.

And this is why I demand Sapphire crystals.

Not Mineral crystal.
No "synthetic" sapphire, which chemically isn't sapphire at all.

Just plain old man-made Sapphire.

I have several minerals and luckily not exploded yet. I hhave syn spahire and sapharie as well and both still are good. Saphire is the best but not all wathces are availalbe with sapharie.

I'm well aware of the non-availablitity with sapphire of many watches... its the biggest reason why my wish-list has a "if only it was avail with a nicer crystal" section... *118usd chopard reps I'm looking at you here... go sapphire and charge 138usd....*
