Greetings,

I really want to purchase another pam (wear mine pam111), looking forward for a super rep one (different model with pam111).
I've been reading some threads about panerai and movements and came up with certain number of pams:

1. Pam 390
2. Pam 243
3. Pam 127
4. Pam 292
5. Pam 364
6. Pam 389 (Zf or Kw prod better?)

Which one is the best for my second rep?Looking for some great advices here.
About the movement for the subs PAMs, Both 243 and 364/389 are using A7750 movement which i read from the thread that the movement itself is like a timebomb. Is that true? How is this movement reliable in super rep 243 or pam 364 (really want subs pams for next purchase)? or should i just go with the other pams (manual winding movement)?

Really looking forward for some great advices/guidances from some PAMs Gurus :nerd:

Thanks

Manual wind is more reliable, but 7750 on PAM is not ezactly a time bomb, just a bit more delicate. I had no problems with mines so far.
Among 243, 364 and 389 my fav is 389, but it's also the less accurate. Go with the one you like most :)

Specifically when you say the 7750 is "more delicate" can you elaborate more on what that means? I'm curious because I am looking to wear a Pam with 7750 daily and would like to know what I should try to avoid doing.

The amount of parts in a 7750 is way more than the simple 6497. With the fact that factories usually assemble them in 'dirty' environment, it tends to break down eventually. That said, seconds at 9s are the reliable of the 7750 lot as it has no modification. I'd say its more of a hit and miss but should be fine as you will not be playing with the chrono functions. As for me, i'd rather go the sellita route for a peace of mind.

Some tips I learnt here to make a 7750 work fine:

- Don't set the date between 10 and 2. I usually set the time to 6 am then set the date, then re-set the time.
- Don't wind it manually. If you do, be gentle.
- Chrono functions, when present, should be used sparingly. The chrono hand should be reset when pointing to 55 - 05.

In the end is just a matter of being a bit careful :)

Taken from reviews/recommendations on RWI:
PAM 364 Noob
PAM 389 KW

The 364 is def. worth looking into and KW also offers a Seagull version. Take it easy and do several different searches here on rwi

You can't post QC pics here unless the model you select has a thread with [QC Pictures allowed] comment.

Yeah just noticed that..i wont post qc pics here..my bad..thanks

You can also publish QC pics if you ACTUALLY have a concrete and clear flaw to be commented for general interest, but be careful about that
