Hi, i would like to gift a PAM to my father for his birthday, but i'm not an expert of this brand and on TD's site are listed a lot of model with various factory and version.
I alreay read the consensual list of super reps but a lot of PAM's are not avaible anymore.
Could someone give me an advice?
The main features it should have are size about 44 or less, white dial (If this is a problem, a black wouldn't be a seriously problem), simple design, gen like feelings.
If is possible i prefer to buy a watch that is known as super rep or very very close.
I read a lot on this section but i'm not able to make a decision.

What's your opinions?

Just remember that the rep leather straps are junk. Get the watch on rubber and buy an aftermarket leather strap (plenty of bespoke strap makers on here).

Would he like something dressy? Or sporty?

The 113 or 563 would be great choices for this exercise. I have no experience with the rep 1499, but that style is intriguing and would be an interesting option as well. If was going to get a watch for my dad and it needed a white dial, I'd go with the 1499, but everyone is different.

Re the strap -- the rep version will suck from the get go. If you time it properly, you can order a new strap or straps and have them here by the time the watch ships from China -- its a pretty whiz-bang way to do things!

Yes this is the best version available, and also at a very good price
If you have to choose between 113 and 563, The Noob 113 is the better option in terms of overal quality, also the A6497 movement is the better choice as the P5000 clone is harder to service (hard to get parts) and less reliable

If I where you, I would look for some Luminor basemodel super reps like a Pam 111 or a Pam 005 for instance. But choose the one you like the most. Black dials are more "classic/traditional" Pam style and in my opinion a better choice for your first Pam purchase, but if you and/or your father prefer white dials then by all means go for it. You just mentioned in your post that black dials might be ok and if so it truly opens up a lot of great options. Good luck with the purchase.

I'll buy a black dial PAM if i'm not able to find a super rep or near in white.

P.S: There are difference between PAM111 and PAM005? Only the caseback?

The N series Noob V2 and N-series H-maker V2 are considered the best versions.

The price difference is because it are 2 different manufactures.
Take a rubber strap as the rep leathers are really bad.
