Happy weekend everyone. I am saving up to buy a gen Pam or Breitling (ie, trying not to spend my entire monthly salary on reps each month!), and in order to motivate me, I occasionally visit my favourite local jeweler with a small selection of gen PAMs to ogle. I visited him today, and he told me that there is a Panerai exhibition on at the moment(!) in my city, with some new 2012/2013 models on display, and I should go take a look... Well, SAY NO MORE. Off I sped, and luckily I always keep my trusty Lumix in the car. Ladies and gentlemen, here is how a lucky guy spent his morning
I arrived at the mall where the exhibit was. Yip. I'm in the right place alright... Outside the mall they had this big poster:
On entering the exhibit I am greeted with this corridor (detailed text pics later):
On to the exhibits! They are housed in glass containers, in dark rooms, so photography was a bit tricky:
I couldn't photograph all the watches on display... Here are the ones I could get kinda half decent shots of:
PAM384 - Radiomir 8 Days Ceramica 45mm
PAM323 Radiomir 10 days GMT 47mm
They even let me try some of them on (PAM 323):
PAM337 - Radiomir 42mm
PAM320 - Luminor 1950 3 Days GMT Auto 44mm
PAM356 - Luminor Chrono Daylight 44mm
Top: PAM356 - Luminor Chrono Daylight 44mm. Left to Right: PAM351 Luminor Marina 1950 3 Days Automatic Titanio 44mm ; PAM392 - Luminor Marina 1950 3 Days Automatic 42mm ; PAM320 - Luminor 1950 3 Days GMT Auto 44mm
PAM441 - Luminor 1950 3 Days GMT Automatic Ceramica 44mm
PAM425 - Radiomir S.L.C. 3 Days 47mm
PAM292 - Radiomir Black Seal Ceramica 45mm
PAM424 - Radiomir California 3 Days 47mm
Newer in house movements:
Wall of History:
I hope you enjoyed as much as I did. Some of those pieces are pretty rare - most people never ever get to see one. I'll leave you with this question, which you can respond to in the comments below - if you could have walked out of there with any one of these PAMs, which would it be?
