Panerai DNA insta with fakes?

Guys,

some friends asked me to take a look at an Instagram account of Panerai_DNA since there are rumours for numerous fakes published there as gens. For me it is fishy, I believe PAM 364 is Noob and PAM 243 is probably Noob, too. Any other ones?

I know somebody tried calling out the 288 on the panerai Facebook group and got banned. There are a few on there I would say are questionable but that is because we know what to look for being as though we analyse the replicas so seriously.

id question the Fiddy on there from a quick look at the CG, and there are no pics of the movements on any of the watches.....

Most of photos avoid inconvenient perspectives - no movement photos, no close ups of dials... but sharp pearl triangle on 364 is a tell...

I follow the account. Photos are very good. But I wish I was able to figure out if they are reps or gen.

A larger number are GEN pieces! Like many other watch collector he probably owns a few REPs as well.
Not all of the watches are owned by PAMDNA.

At least 087, 508 and 719 are fakes (hf and Vsf). About the 382 i think its the vsf v1 but i really dont care if these Pams are fakes. Picts and strap combo are great.

A lot look like reps but it’s tough to tell definitively between the angle and the filters. The 177, the 243, the 508.

Also it looks like the CP is blurred out just ever so slightly on some pics/models that are questionable. Like the bronzo’s pictured, you can see it perfectly. But on other references - the ones where the pearl catches your attention and you zoom in closer to look, you can’t see the CP. And it’s done well enough that you can’t tell if it’s the Lighting or if it’s intentionally blurred.

I have been following the discussion on one of the Panerai fb group. JP getting banned for caling out EG (& apparently for some other reasons)..

Posts deleted..I have read minutes ago that EG was banned from one of the fb groups.

You can see daily posts of fake watches on the Panerai/Paneristi fb page. Nobody notices anything, people even get couple of hundred likes for a fake and plenty of comments. Most people cannot distinguish a very good to excellent rep from a genuine one. Apporx. a year ago one member that used to post photos of fakes passing them as gens (he posted some vintage Pam) was called out & then banned and disappeard. His posts were frequent back then and he was “known” among the community.

IMHO rep owners should stick only to rep forums and not do this, I really do not know what they are trying to achieve by posting their fakes on gen groups.

Yes, some great pictures and a good source for strap options.

People have different motivations. I doubt we'll ever hear from EG.
